Vegetarian and vegan diners are thoughtfully accommodated with dishes like the Vegetable Noodle Soup, rich in umami from mushrooms and tofu, and the Braised Tofu Bao, which delivers a flavorful plant-based twist on a traditional favorite.

No meal is complete without a refreshing beverage, and Wei Wei excels here as well—offering enticing drinks like the creamy Thai Tea, the subtly sweet Winter Melon Tea, and classic options like Mexican Coke to perfectly complement the bold flavors on the plate.

Regular patrons rave about the consistently fresh ingredients and the balance of textures and flavors, whether it’s the crispy, juicy pan-fried soup dumplings or the sweet and tangy cold noodles dressed in peanut sesame sauce. The ease of parking and reasonable prices add further appeal, making Wei Wei a reliable go-to destination for Taiwanese cuisine lovers in Portland.

My fiancé and I absolutely love this place! We first discovered it a few years ago and recently decided to visit again—once again, we were not disappointed. We used to go more often when we lived closer, but even now, it’s well worth the drive. We’re big fans of the beef noodle soup—it’s packed with flavor, always fresh, and comes with a generous amount of beef. The shrimp wonton soup is another favorite, with rich broth and wontons that are loaded with meat. We also tried the salt and pepper chicken, which is some of the best we’ve had. It’s perfectly tender with just the right amount of crunch. (Highly recommend adding some hot chili oil if you love spice!) Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The owners are incredibly efficient, and the food comes out fast, which is always a plus. The restaurant itself is small but has a warm, homey atmosphere. Definitely a must-visit spot!

Pan-fried soup dumplings were perfectly crispy on the bottom and juicy inside — be careful, they’re hot and bursting with soup! Gua bao (pork belly bun) was melt-in-your-mouth tender, topped with crushed peanuts and cilantro — just like the ones from night markets. Beef noodle soup had a rich, savory broth, hand-pulled noodles with a perfect bite, and tender chunks of beef. Total comfort food. Scallion pancake was golden, flaky, and satisfying with or without the dipping sauce. Braised pork rice (lu rou fan) hit all the right notes — savory, slightly sweet, and oh-so comforting. The space is cozy and casual, with a friendly vibe that makes you feel like you’re back home. If you’re craving Taiwanese comfort food, this is the spot. Period.

I've eaten a lot of Taiwanese food, mostly in Chicago, and absolutely loved my meal here. I had the scallion pancakes, cucumber salad and beef noodle soup. Everything was delicious. The cucumber salad wasn't the taste I'm used to but still very good. The beef is the soup was generous. And the grandmas who work there were so friendly! 谢谢奶奶

Cute small Taiwanese restaurant with delicious food and drinks. I liked their spicy wonton soup, their braised pork belly bao bun, and their passion fruit tea. Service was great, they greeted us at the door and were friendly.

Pretty authentic for the Portland area, tastes close and the price is good. Would love to see the rice plate maybe me bento, but also understand that isn’t entirely necessary. Parking is also nice and easy, which helps a lot. Would just add a little bit to the vibe—otherwise, my go-to for Taiwanese in the area!

I am obsessed with BBQ Pork Bao appetizer. It is not on the online menu, but it is some of the best Bao I have ever eaten- it is so fluffy! The prices are reasonable, the quality of food is amazing, portion sizes are great. It is always quiet when I eat there (I really appreciate being able to actually talk and hear my company) and I can always find a table, but this place is never empty. I love supporting a local business and the beef noodle soup is really satisfying on a cold Oregon day.
